We are delighted to receive wholesale and trade enquiries for soap for retail or mail-order sale
or uses such as promotional gifts, giveaways and thank-you presents. Our soaps are sold by a growing and varied list of
independent shops and traders in Norfolk and much further afield, both under our name and as own-label products.
We offer effective trade discounts and a low minimum order with the aim of making it easy and profitable for you to
carry our products. For more information, please complete our Trade Enquiry Form or call us on

Soap Loaves
We regularly supply soap in square or round loaves or straight from the mould raw slabs. Some
traders like this format because they can cut and sell the soap by weight in front of their customers and it
emphasises the handmade nature of the product. We do usually point out to new customers though that while this format
is indeed 'showy', it isn't always convienient for practical use. It's easier to shower with one of our carefully cut
and chamfered bath-size bars than it is to use a half-pound square lump. For this reason, we suggest you may want to
purchase a small number of loaves for display and effect but keep a ready-stock of wrapped bars for those customers
who prefer them.
Hotels, Guest Houses, B&Bs, Spas, Health Centres and Clubs
Many hotels and guest houses now go to great lengths to give their guests the very best... but
you're not really treating them if you give them the the cheapest mass-produced commerical soap you can find. We now
regularly supply top-quality hotels, guesthouses and spas, both locally and as far afield as London, Thailand and the
Maldives.
We offer a full range, from room-size guest soap bars to tolietries such as shower and bath gel to
full-size bars and gift boxes to sell or give away in reception. And because we pack and label by hand, we are able to
economically produce custom labelling for even the smallest bed and breakfast so that your guests can see and perhaps take home
your name and message rather than someone else's.
Finally, we're only too aware just how much soap a busy medium or large size hotel goes through. Our
growing success with contracts from larger hotels in the last three years clearly demonstrates that we can cope reliably
with large, regular orders and still deliver a quality hand-made product.
Own-brand and customised labels
We are happy to produce custom-labelled soaps to suit your needs, such as own-brand
mail-order or shop products, soap named to match your guest house or hotel or even sales or
advertising messages for use as give-aways at exhibitions or conferences. Short-runs are not a problem so
this option is available even to the smallest concern or for one-off events or promotions. We can create
artwork for the labels for you or use your own artwork or print (after agreeing a format) and we can
manage most of the ways there are to wrap, label and package a bar of soap.
Customers should be aware that there are certain legal requirements for soap labels which must be met,
including an ingredients listing in a prescribed format, a batch number and contact details for the actual
manufacturer. These can usually be tucked away on the back or side of the soap. Our private or custom labels
typically include at least a manufacturer's credit such as 'Handmade for Company X by The Natural Soap
Company, Norfolk, UK'.
Custom and bespoke soaps
All good soap-makers want to make soap and being asked to develop a new one is one of the best
bits of the whole job... so we are usually delighted to offer this service. Often, a new recipe idea works best when the
client has a particular ingredient or effect in mind but we're quite happy to experiment or make suggestions if you
just want something unique or that bit different.
Successful custom-designed soap projects have included:
- A Redbush soap for the Redbush Tea company
- A chamomile soap, made with English chamomile essential oil and
hydrolat produced in new UK chamomile plantations
- A basic, budget-priced handmade hemp soap plus a seriously deluxe version, in both plain and exfoliating variations
- Soap incorporating an existing proprietary blend to match a toiletry range produced elsewhere.
It is a legal requirement that all soaps produced for resale or distribution in the UK must be tested and
certified safe by a suitably qualified person. Certification costs mean that the our price for developing a new soap
recipe will be a minimum of £250.
